Prop list
For our production we will need certain props, this is to make our production as best as we possibly can. The word prop is short for property, this refers to an object used by an actor as part of the scene or character they are playing. Movie props and stage props have the same purpose, by enhancing the drama and to help the actors to make their role as a character more believable. The Prop department is responsible for the making of the props used in films.
Costumes - Costumes are an important part of any shooting in a film. Costumes need to be chosen very carefully to show the mood of the scene, lifestyle, time period of the movie, age of the actors and their personality. Choosing the perfect costume for a character is not an easy task, and costume designers have to have lots of thought and skill. Research has to be done to get a perfect costume, as well as keeping the script of the movie in mind. A proper costume selection plays a vital role in the success of any movie. It is important for a filmmaker to have a huge collection of costumes, therefore it will be important for me to get my costumes right, otherwise my filming won't look right or believable.
Erin, playing Jessica a runner will be wearing her running outfit. I have decided that she will be wearing shorts, this will make her look cold and will create sympathy towards her from the audience. She will also be wearing a 'North Devon Athletics' hoddie, this will show that she is a runner, but also not at a professional level, hence why she is not out training on a athletics track.
The costumes of the spooky creatures and dead children are crucial, the main dark ghostly figure will be a dark blurry figure with a black vail and cloak as long as it is long and black, this is to add mystery. The children dead bodies/figures are from around the restoration/victorian period, costumes would be considered difficult to supply for them, but fortunately I have a wide variety of dressing up costumes due to a creative family and a bridesmaid shop.
Earphones - Will be used at the beginning when Jessica will be running, she will be listening to music, this means we will be able to show dietetic and non-dietetic sound. I have decided to use white earphones against her black jumper, this will make the earphones stand out more and make it clear that she is listening to music.
Makeup - Makeup artists are similar to costume designers, they are both faced with the job of trying to make the actors look like the characters they are acting, whether they are required to look beautiful or ragged, younger or older, or like monsters or other fantastic beings. The makeup artist helps the audience believe that what they are watching is real. Movie makeup is creative and smart, it can be very corrective, covering flaws and emphasizing attractive features, aswel as enabling actors to inhabit almost any type of character. Makeup in the movies that is uesd to hide pores, wrinkles and any other facial imperfections must be durable, makeup has to look natural. It is important for makeup to be durable enough to last for a long time, under lights while the actors fight, kiss and even sweat.
All good makeup design needs research, experimentation, and sometimes inventing new makeup products or how to put it on. In 1914 Max Factor, a makeup artist and chemist, created the first makeup specifically for movies. The black and white films did not recognise all the colours, makeup artists could use makeup with blue or green tints because of the camrea not recognising certain tones, red tones looked black on the screen.
After the development of panchromatic film, which recorded the entire color spectrum, more natural-appearing makeup, called panchromatic makeup, was developed.
For my filming I will have to have my makeup done as well as possible to make it look as proffessional as I can. Erin will have to look natural and tired, I have decided to use masscara on her eyes and smug it slightly so she looks like she is sweating, also trying to make her face look flusterd, to make it believable to the audience, that she is out on a run. Fergus, Hector and Freya have to look as scary as possible, I will be using lots of fake blood. They will have pale faces, this will giave them a "white with shock" look, this would hint about their horrid death. The main dark figure will have no blood on, just a pale face, because it is important not to have too much make up, making the dark figure over the top will lose the effect.
I will be using fake blood, fake blood will be an important prop, it is important because it has a big part in making the children look scary, the fake blood will be used in the last scene with the children. From the survey I had a quite high percentage of people that get scared more by blood and gore. Due to my blood scene being short and at the end not too much fake blood will be needed. I will be able to make a cheap mixture of fake blood using the stuff in my cupboards this will save money. The mixture of fake blood is make up of flour and water, to give it the correct consistency, used alongside red food die to give it a correct blood colour. As an alternative to the mixyure, I could use chocolate sauce, but the colour wouldn't look right.

Equipment List
For my horror/thriller production, a variety of equipment will need to be used in the process.
Computer - I will be using the school computers because of the Adobe premier pro, we will be using the computer for editing.
Adobe Premier Pro - By using adobe premier pro it would be a much more professional way to edit my raw footage videos, hopefully I won't find it too difficult and the program should be simple to use. Unlike Windows Movie Maker, Adobe Premier Pro Using it will be a much better way to edit my video, however Windows Movie Maker will be perfectly good for making my storyboard anamatic.
Tripod - A tripod will be useful for me to get a steady shot, and will add a much more professional look to my media production.
Camera - I will be using a school camera, because I don't have a high enough quality camera, and I would prefer to get the best shots that I can, a decent camera is crucial.
