The 180 Degree Rule
The 180 degree rule is an important rule that is needed for filming. It is essential in all conversation scenes, otherwise the eye line wouldn't be correct. A invisible line is made between the two people talking this will be the middle of the 180 degree, and the space needed to film will be on the invisible line. The 180 degree rule means that the camera should stay on the same 180 degree line while the two characters exchange dialect. This rule is done to maintain correct eye line during film, and to help the audience to form a picture of a conversation in their heads, when the 180 degree rule is done well it creates a professional look for the production, but when done incorrectly can bring a production down. The rule still applys if there are more than two characters talking.

Match On Action
A match on action shot is an important technique used for editing. When done well it will make a continued movement when being shown from different angles. When the shots are put together in the moment the action is taking place makes the scene flow smoothly in a fluid movement. It is important that the actions are matching so the two shots can be filmed anytime, place, etc, and still continue to have a flow.
